An Introduction to Intuitive Eating for Health Professionals

Are you a healthcare practitioner looking to learn more about using a weight inclusive approach in your practice?

Curious about the philosophies of Health at Every Size, intuitive eating, and body positivity?

Hungry to learn how to help yourself and clients ditch diet culture and fatphobic messages?

This presentation may be exactly what you need!

Intuitive eating offers an alternative look at health and wellness and is an approach that does not focus on dieting and weight loss. Rather, it examines our relationships with food from a holistic standpoint, looking at what we eat and why, and offers clients with alternative strategies to calorie-counting and portion sizes, to aid in developing healthier relationships with food.

Intuitive & mindful eating have gained popularity in recent years and many health professionals wonder if they can really help improve health when other ways have failed? Are these out-of-the-box approaches to food and eating science based? Is it true these philosophies encourage clients to “eat what you want, when you want”?
